Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

HomeworkMint (“we”, “our”) at homeworkmint.com is a step-by-step homework tutor. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Contact: contact@homeworkmint.com.

What runs only in your browser

The instant Math Helper and Writing Helper checks run locally in your browser. Text you type into those offline tools, and the demo free-plan counter (stored in your browser's localStorage), are not sent to us by those tools.

What you send when you use AI or photo features

If you use “Ask the AI tutor”, photo solving, or the AI writing check, the question text, writing, and/or image you submit is sent through our server function to our AI provider (for example, OpenAI) so it can return an answer. Do not submit personal information, names of minors, school IDs, passwords, or photos showing faces or private documents. Images are downscaled in your browser before sending to reduce size.

Accounts

If/when accounts are enabled (for example via Netlify Identity or another provider named on the site), the provider will handle your email and login credentials — we do not store your password ourselves. We may store an account identifier and subscription/usage status.

Payments

Paid plans, when enabled, are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we do not receive or store full card numbers. Stripe may provide us your email, subscription status, and payment identifiers so we can provide Pro access.

Ads and analytics

No advertising or analytics tracker is enabled by default in this version. If we enable Google AdSense or a privacy-friendly analytics tool in future, this policy will be updated first, and ads/analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies as described in their policies. You can block cookies in your browser.

Usage limits and security

Our servers may log limited technical information (time, IP address, question type, token/cost counts, error codes) to enforce daily/rate limits, prevent abuse, and understand AI costs. We aim to retain such logs only as long as needed for security, billing and operations.

Children

HomeworkMint is for users aged 13 and older (see Terms). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers needed to run the site (hosting, AI, payments, email, ads/analytics if enabled), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

You may request access to or deletion of account information by emailing contact@homeworkmint.com. You can clear browser-stored data via your browser settings.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change and material changes will be noted on this page.

This is a plain-language starting policy for a small site, not legal advice. Get legal review before scaling, selling to schools, or enabling ads to minors.
